An Amazing Man!

It’s times like these that I question why? Why does something like this happen, without warning, with out answers.

We are all praying for my amazing Uncle Artie to pull through. To be the strong stubborn man that we all know and love. But why him???  Why would God want to try to take someone away from us who is so full of life and joy. Who should be having years and years to still be living.

He has always been a big part of our lives. I can’t ever remember a time when my uncle Artie wasn’t smiling. He is always happy, always laughing and always the life of the party. His love for others inspired us all. And his love for his wife, my wonderful Aunt Joann, is what made me believe in true love! They have a love for each other that goes beyond anything you could ever imagine. They danced the night away at my wedding. My great aunt and uncle, a couple in there 70′s, we’re cutting up the dance floor. It is always amazing to see how they are together. They do everything together, including wii bowling at the wee hours of the morning. “Jo?? You awake? Come on let’s play a few frames”. My uncle Artie would say. They are the cute couple that you watch and envy and say “I hope when my husband and I are that age, that we are still having that much fun and are still crazy in love!

My uncle has always been hard working. When I was young, I remember seeing him cruise by on his tractor everyday during the summer. And not a day would go by that he wouldn’t yell at the top of his lungs “helllllooooo sweethearrrtttt”. It was one of the joys of summer I won’t ever forget. And one of my favorite things about him is how much he reminds me of his father, my great grandpa, old poppa as we called him. A fantastic and amazing man who i miss everyday! A man who i truly feel helped to shape who I am. Uncle Artie is so much like him. His stubborn ways, his sense of humor, how loveable he is. Being around my uncle Artie is like being with my old poppa to. He’s the guy you just love being around.

So why??? Why him? When he has so many people here, family and friends who love him so much. He’s not ready to go, not ready to leave us. He’s the man that we all thought would live to 100 or beyond. We all are saying, it’s not his time! I know God has a plan for all of us. And maybe he has a greater plan for our beloved uncle Artie. And if that is how it must be, I hope he knows how all of us feel about him. How much we love him and how he has forever changed our lives. How he has truly inspired us all. And that no matter where he is, we will think if him always and never forget his laughs, his joy and most of all the love he gave us!

We love you uncle Artie!
