Our big girl

Our girl is getting so big we just can’t believe it. She’s such a little smarty and picks up on things so quickly. I’m just amazed by her more and more everyday! I look at her, her little angelic face and just can’t believe how blessed we are. I haven’t posted in forever so I thought I would put up a few new photos of our growing girl.

I love that she loves books! I think she’s destined to be our little bookworm.

In other news, I’m thinking of started to paint more of the house. Starting with the fireplace wall and then our bathroom! I love to paint. Almost our entire house is still white. It definitely needs more color! I’m excited. So the painting and color possibilities will be posted soon :-)

In our hearts!

Last week was definitely a tough week!! The passing of my Wonderful Great Uncle Artie definitely was very tough to take. It just shouldn’t have happened. He should have been with us for many more years to come. The wake and funeral didn’t seem real somehow. As we sat there honoring him, I couldn’t help but think, why are we here? This is not how it should be. I never ever expected to be sitting in that funeral home for my Uncle Artie this soon. Maybe twenty years from now, but not now. My Aunt Joann, sitting up there as cute as can be, smiling with tears streaming down, she is always so positive and hopeful. But I definitely could tell , even though she was trying to be so strong, that she just couldn’t believe this either. Her true love was gone, and I am so thankful that she has so much family around her to support her. She is such a lovely amazing woman! So sweet and caring, you just love chatting with her. I hope she is going to be ok! Emma and I are definitely going to be visiting her a lot more!

Wendy came up from Jax for the services! She looked so adorable in her Navy blues. When she is in her uniform, hair pulled back in a bun, with her medals on her jacket, I can’t help but cry tears of joy for how proud I am of her!! 7 years in the Navy already, how is that possible that it has been that long!! She loves being in the Navy, and even though I miss her terribly and hate that she is so far away, I look at her in awe of what an accomplished woman shes become!! My sister, in the Navy and loving it!! I couldn’t be any more proud and happy that Emma has her Aunt Wendy to look up to!! I love when she visits, but I hate when she has to leave. I wish we lived closer to one another. But I know she loves being in Jax and how happy she and Joel are, makes me happy!!!

50 days until our St. Maarten trip. I am super excited but nervous about Emma’s first big trip and first plane ride. I know she will be just fine, but I always have bad luck with traveling. Either we have flight delays or our luggage gets lost pretty much every time we travel. I had started to think we were cursed when it comes to travel, but our last two flights we had taken were ok. I am hoping this one will go smoothly to. I need to get a new big suitcase. I have my carry on , but its not big enough for all of our things plus Em’s. So I’m going to check out tjmaxx and marshals for a new one soon. They always have great deals on luggage. St. Maarten is also someplace new that I have never been to. I always play it safe and go somewhere I know, so someplace unknown will be cool and yet scary lol. But I can’t wait to see St. Maarten. Everyone tells me how amazing it is there!!

In work news, we have been super crazy swamped!! I hope it continues, I love being crazy busy!!! Makes the weeks fly and its less stressful to know we have work always coming in!!!

All for now! I hope everyone had a great weekend!!!
