St. Maarten…

By this time tomorrow we will be in the air on our way to the gorgeous island of St. Maarten!
I am of course super excited but nervous as heck! Between the shop being slow right now, and this being Emma’s first big trip and flight, its been a super stressful week!! I think I have us all packed. I guess as my mother always says “if you forget something it’s OK, there’s always a store somewhere
” I definitely feel like I over-packed but better to have more than not enough I guess. I can’t wait for Emma to have her first ocean experience and to see how she is about the sand in her toes heehee.
The resort we are saying at, Simpson Bay, is absolutely gorgeous from the photos. I can’t wait to see it in person! It looks a lot like the waters in Bermuda. I can’t wait to just relax on the beach!
My biggest worry is of course the flight. I am hoping Emma sleeps for the first half of our flight tomorrow morning, since it is at 6 am. She usually sleeps until 10 on weekends! But knowing her, little miss nosy, she won’t want to miss anything lol. We are flying Delta and when I checked a while back, they had said if there is empty seats on the plane (which i highly doubt there will be, I haven’t been on a plane that hasn’t been totally packed since I was a kid) we could switch to a row that has an empty seat so we could put Emma’s car seat in her own seat. I know she would sleep better on the plane if she could be in her car seat. She loves her car seat thankfully!
But I know the chances of us getting an extra seat for her are like 1%. Ugh! Regardless, we will deal with whatever. We are bringing lots of fun things to entertain her. And I think she will just be so happy to be somewhere new and exciting. Lots to see, new people to meet! She is quite the social butterfly
I am sure it will all go smoothly. But since Scott and I don’t have the best track record when it comes to flying, I just am scared that we will fall into issues as usual. We either always have to go through extra security for some reason, we seem to always get picked. Or they make us throw out random weird things in our carry ons, or 9 times out of 10 our luggage gets lost either on the way there or the way home! Knock on wood, we are flying Delta and they have never lost our luggage before, but I can’t help but always be worried about that now since it has happened to us so many times. I just have to keep thinking positive. Once we get there we can relax, unpack and unwind and look out onto the gorgeous ocean waters!!
I love the ocean! I am hoping Emma will to!
So now I just need to make it through this day! A ton to do to get the shop all set for dad while I am gone. And that alone scares me , I hate leaving him here alone, especially when he is not feeling good! I am hoping he will be ok!!! I would rather we be slammed before I go , but I guess it being slow isn’t to bad either, it won’t stress dad out as much if were not crazy busy. But I prefer crazy busy! Its always a comforting feeling leaving for a bit when I know our cash flow is ok. It is also going to be the longest time Emma has been away from her Meema and Poppa! I don’t think they are going to handle it well
I definitely need a vaca though. It will be nice to relax and try to get my mind off things!
So only 5 more hours of work, followed by some quick dinner, buttoning up our packing, Em to bed early and us to, and then waking at 230 am to get ready. I am dreading the 230 am.
But with that will come gorgeous ocean waters to follow!
St.Maartin here we come!

So I have pretty much been neglecting my blog for quite some time now. Oops. Busy times though, sometimes make it hard to be able to just sit down, relax and type type away.
Our little lady is 15 months old already. Where has the time gone?? It still doesn’t seem possible that we already have a 15 month old on our hands. She is amazing, amazing really doesn’t even come close to describing her actually. She is walking all over the place now and boy is she proud of herself! Ha. She seriously is pure entertainment. She makes us laugh everyday! She is so quick to learn new things and is so chatty already. I love hearing her chat away. She repeats everything these days so we definitely have to be careful what we say around her!
Our little smarty pants!!!
Our St. Maartin trip is only two weeks away and I am sooooooooo nervous! This is Emma’s first flight and I am really hoping she handles it well. We plan on bringing a lot of her favorite things to entertain her and something for her to drink or chew on, for take off to help with her ears. Since she is so nosy and has to see everything and say hi to everyone, I am hoping that the fact that its something new for her will be enough to entertain her and keep her happy for the flight. I of course am nervous about our luggage getting lost on the way there since we seem to have bad luck when it comes to that. But I got us a fantastic deal on some new luggage on Overstock since we really only have smaller carry on sizes. It was a 4 piece set, originally 199.99, it was on sale for 79.99, i had a coupon, plus some overstock rewards dollars. I ended up only paying 48.99 for a 4 piece set. 2 large sizes, one carry on size and one toiletry size. Such a great deal and its really nice. So at least we will have a lot of room for all three of us to pack them full haha. It is so exciting to be traveling to some place I have never been before. Scott has been a few times, so he knows the territory. The resort reserved a highchair and crib for the condo for us, so that’s awesome! A few less things to worry about having to pack or figure out. I know Emma is going to LOVE the beach and the ocean. All new experiences for her! I just love watching her try something new.
Hoping also for some really great news for my dad and I, business related, while we are away. Hoping to come back to a new challenge!
We so have this coming, so I am really hoping it works out!
All for now. I will try to be better about updating on a more regular basis
Thanks all! Hope all is well with all of my readers!
Gorgeous!!!

I so wish I was sitting in a comfy lounge chair on this beach right now!!! That is a beach in Bermuda. The beaches there are pink, its so weird. But so amazing!!! I love Bermuda. It smells like flowers everywhere you go. The water is gorgeous and there’s tons to do!! I’m dying to go back!
Great weekend. Saturday we slept in, rode the bikes to ballston spa to meet up with Daedra and to pick up a brand spanking new shuffle I got on craigslist for 40 bucks! Score! The three of us rode to Saratoga, had some lunch on Bailey’s deck, and rode around a bit afterwards!! Great day for a ride! It was perfect riding weather! Saturday night we went to Scott’s best friends girlfriends birthday party. There was mostly family there so it was a little weird. But we had a good time!
Sunday Scotty worked on the deck while I did housework and laundry. We had a pretty relaxing day. Just slowly got stuff done! We went over to my parents house for some burgers on the grill with Becky and Timmy. Mmm burgers!!
I love weekends that are relaxed. I like being busy to with parties and going out, but its nice to be able to chill to without a ton of plans. Just kind of doing everything spontaneously.
It looks like its going to be a gloomy rainy week! Bummer. Just when the weather was really starting to be nice. But I guess I can live with a week of rain. lol. Busy week again at work so hopefully the week will fly by!!!
We are back! And so tired!

….Till we leave for San Francisco. I’m super psyched. Ive never been to California or really anywhere on that side of the US for that matter. We have two layovers on our flight, which kind of sucks. But I get kind of antsy after more than 2 hours on a flight, so I guess its good we get a few breaks! Of course like any other trip, I’m worried about leaving my dad here alone Monday and Tuesday. I know its only two days, but still, his knee is really bothering him, so its not easy for him to go back and forth from the office to the shop. But I’m going to set the office up so he has everything he needs for while I’m gone.
Work is still busy which is awesome!! I love not having to worry about money coming in. But of course there always bills to pay. I hate money.
Workouts are still going strong. I actually ran this weekend at the gym. I’m not a strong runner, I use to be, I’m trying to get back into it. Clark had me on a high intensity cardio routine on the treadmill. I didn’t think I would be able to handle the running, but once I got into it, I couldn’t stop. Adrenaline kicked in and I kept pushing myself. They were playing “Troy” in the cardio theater. I love that movie. Eric Bana and Brad Pitt fighting. What could be hotter lol. The cardio theater was the best thing ever created. Time flies by and you don’t realize how many cals you’ve burned until the movie of over, then you look down and see, “holy crap, ive been in here for an hour and a half and burned 800 cals. damnnnnn i rule lol
I didn’t get to the gym last night. I had to deliver a car and then my dad and I went to my aunts for dinner. But I really wish I went. I didn’t get home till 10 and i totally just passed out in my bed as soon as I got home!

Tonight was the rehearsal dinner, it was very nice. The rehearsal was really quick. I think everything should go very well tomorrow. The dinner was at Dakota’s, one of my favorite restaurants.
Tomorrow is the wedding. We are meeting at Mocha lisas cafe for a quick bite before we head over to the salon for our hair appointments. Very exciting. Ali is totally calm and collected. I think the wedding is going to be amazing! I just hope I fit into my dress. lol
2 more days, I can do it!!!

With Vacation just 2 days away, I’m starting to panic. Were, for the first time ever, closing down the shop for a week. My parents are going to Maine and Scott and I will be in North Carolina. It was the best thing to do really since my dad and I both really really need a vacation away from here. Usually when one of us goes anywhere, the other is worried because one of us is here alone. So we call each other like 5 times a day to check in. This time we both wont have to do that. But I am still worried that everything will be ok here. Luckily one of our guys only lives like a minute away so he said he would cruise by daily to make sure everything is ok here. But also we were going to try to get any cars we
could to be finished before we leave which just didn’t happen. I think one of them is going to be done and that’s it. But the others we have in the shop are pretty sizable wrecks so there really wasn’t any way we could get them done in time.
So as long as today and the next two days go smooth, we should be ok. I just worry all the time, its what i do. I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t worry. But at least were crazy busy when we get back and being busy, as stressful as it is, is always a good thing!
I didn’t leave here until 7:30 last night. So didn’t plan on being here so late, but we didn’t have a good ending to the day so I stayed to help my dad out for a while. I went to target afterwards and picked up some things for our trip. My fave thing was this adorable carry on suitcase. Its pink camo , and yes its suppose to be for kids, but its the perfect size for what I needed. The last 5 times I have flown USAir, they have lost our luggage and we usually don’t get it back until the second day of out trip. I of course panic and freak out because I have nothing with me except my mini backpack I usually bring on the plane. So I’m stranded with no change of clothes, no makeup, and no essentials. But this time I figured Id be smart and take an actual carry on , on the plane with a change of clothes and everything I would need if stupid USAir loses our luggage again. Also it will hopefully stop me from freaking out on Scott. I of course don’t mean to but I’m a girl and I panic. I’m hoping this will be a relaxing and stress free vacation. Ill be happy if i can lay on the beach with a good book and the waves crashing in!
So I just keep telling myself, 2 more days after today and all will be well. We just have to get through the end of this week. Wish me luck!!!!
Yay Our Vacation is all Set!

So after much procrastination, we booked our North Carolina Beach vacation yesterday. We leave July 21st and get back July 25Th. (i think, it might be the 24Th, now i can’t remember lol) I’m so excited. Were going to be renting a house on Emerald Isle, its right on the beach! I was initially freaking out because now that my dad aka boss, is working in the shop and not in the office, me being gone for three days of the week, plus Friday for Ali’s wedding, would mean that he would have to juggle the shop and the office by himself, he would probably end up having a heart attack. So I was very close to telling Scott I couldn’t go. Mostly because when we originally started looking at flights they were ridiculously expensive. If we were smart we would have booked this like last October when we were in Bermuda and made these plans
So just when I was on the verge of a breakdown over that, my dad tells me yesterday that we are closing the shop for a week for a vacation shutdown and hes also taking my mom to Maine on vacation. I’m so happy, because now he wont be stressed because I’m not in the office, and I wont be stressed because I left him here alone! Its a huge weight lifted. I hate leaving him here to have to deal with everything alone. Its a lot to handle when hes working in the shop to.
So Vaca is all set! I can’t waitttttttttttt. It will be so nice to relax right on the beach for a few days! Im looking forward to just chilling on the beach reading a book, getting some sun. Scott and I haven’t taken a vacation yet this year. Then when we get back we have Ali’s wedding so that will be something fun to come home to!
I think in September when Scott’s 6 months in the state is up and he gets real paid vacation, were going to go to San Fransisco to visit his brother Pat. Ive never been to California and have been dying to go for years! Either there or we were thinking of going to Vegas. Somewhere fun! Yay, I can’t wait for vacation now!!!
Sailing Weekend

(Ariel view of Mike’s Marina on Lake Champlain)
Great Sailing Weekend. We went up to Lake Champlain to go sailing on Mike’s 30 foot sailboat. It was my first time out on the boat, Scott has been out on it before during the week when i was working. It was so much fun, i loved it. Im addicted, I want a sailboat so bad now!
We sailed out around the lake saturday afternoon, it was a perfect day. A few big winds came in the the boat was almost upright, it totally freaked me out a little but once the boys assured me we wouldnt tip over, i was good to go! We anchored in a bay and cooked burgers and hotdogs on mikes grill. Mmmmmmmm. It was such an awesome experience. I really want to get into boating. There is something about being on the water, its such a great feeling.
Sunday we slept in and headed back to mikes marina to do some work on his boat. I made the boys waffles while they worked on some boat projects. It was nice just laying out on the boat while boys were doing their projects. Gave me some stress free relaxation. Were hoping that by next summer we can buy a boat of some kind so we can enjoy weekends on the lake.
